ENDOWMENT EXECUTED
Dear Supporters,
Five years ago, after seeing the positive impact the EAGLES Program at Auburn University was having on families of students with Intellectual Disabilities and realizing the financial constraints the program's cost imposed on them, the three of us decided to create The EAGLES Foundation, a private non-profit dedicated solely to raising funding for scholarships for the families of the EAGLES students.
In the five years since the inception of The EAGLES Foundation, your generosity has enabled us to provide $296,000 in scholarships to EAGLES students, over $25,000 in direct student support to the EAGLES program, and build a scholarship endowment for the future. We are thrilled to let you know that we have reached a MAJOR MILESTONE in our fundraising efforts to provide scholarships to the families of the EAGLES students at Auburn University. Thanks to supporters like you who have joined us since 2019, we were able to execute our Scholarship Endowment with Auburn University, which is now poised to provide scholarships to the EAGLES students in perpetuity.
While we will no longer actively fundraise through events like our Golf Classic and Gala, the exciting news is that you can still donate to The EAGLES Foundation Scholarship Endowment (and the Lloyd & Sandy Nix Memorial Scholarship) by using the following QR Code, Donation link, or by contacting Kelly Buckingham (334-844-5792) in the Office of Advancement.
We are eternally grateful for your support over the past five years. When we approached each of you about joining our cause, you wholeheartedly jumped in, whether through an event, a Facebook post, or in honor or memory of a loved one. The financial needs of these exceptional families will never lessen, so we ask you to continue to support our scholarship endowment as you are able so its impact will continue to grow.
With love and gratitude,
Katie Basden, Sarah Newton, and Denise Slupe
Thank You...for helping us
